REVIEW
I miss the valley. Everything feels a bit different, with them being in a different place. I just want them to go back, to rebuild what felt like home.
I loved Bartleby as a child, but I have no memory of him speaking. I love when he speaks. It’s unexpected & strange, but makes me giggle every time.
I always remembered him as a pet/mount you could tame, not an equal ally. I thought he was abandoned & they rescued him, but that’s not the case at all. Twice Bartleby chooses to leave the rat creatures on his own (once before he even encounters the Bone people!) Funny how memory works. He has a lot more agency than I remember.
I love the giant bees. A bit of humour goes a long way, when the mood has gotten so serious. It makes me a little sad, hearing everyone speak of the dragons negatively.
Phoney Bone can eat my foot. He’s so greedy, he lost sight of the objective and went back to his cycle of bad habits (but is it going back, if he never left?)
Thorn looks great in this one, with the veil covering her hair. Very pretty.
