Third week of Camp NaNo was smooth-sailing. I avoided distractions & maintained a steady path.
Day 15 – Saturday the 15th
I had 0 writing sessions.
I used to be obsessed with not having “0 days” and force myself to write a tiny amount, even if it was just a single word or sentence.
I realized recently it was hurting my productivity/consistency. Occasional “0 days” help boost my wordcount the rest of the week.
Day 16 – Sunday the 16th
I had 6 sessions in the evening, totalling 133 minutes and 2611 words.
Day 17 – Monday the 17th
I had 2 sessions (1 before work, 1 after), totalling 55 minutes and 1846 words.
Day 18 – Tuesday the 18th
I had 4 sessions (2 before work, 2 after), totalling 66 minutes and 1721 words.
Day 19 – Wednesday the 19th
I had 2 sessions (1 in morning, 1 in evening), totalling 36 minutes and 363 words.
Day 20 – Thursday the 20th
I had 5 sessions (3 in morning, 2 in evening), totalling 122 minutes and 3720 words.
Day 21 – Friday the 21st
I had 4 sessions (1 in morning, 3 in evening) totalling 96 minutes and 2965 words.
Here’s a look at the entire month, for those who enjoy spreadsheets.
The column represent: date, day, words, minutes.
This week, I wrote 13,226 words in total. It took a total of 508 minutes (8.4 hours), bringing my April Camp NaNo total to 34,479 (and my overall WIP to 100,480 words!)
I’m not close to finishing my story, but it’s nice to hit a big milestone. I reached 100k a full 41 days before my deadline.
See you next week for another update!
